Denim Jackets... The Limit Does Not Exist
Kicking off my transitional dressing guide with my favorite denim jackets.
A guide to the different types of denim jackets to complete your wardrobe.
Starting off this denim jacket roundup with a classic from Frame. Before playing with different silhouttes and colors, everyone needs a simple denim jacket like this one. Then… you can have more fun with it!
Once you have your basic denim jacket, I would first turn to a piece with sleeve detailing. It is crazy how this subtle detail makes all the difference in a look. I’m a sucker for a puff sleeve and this one from Ulla Johnson is fabulous. It is perfectly feminine, and I like how structured it is making it flattering to wear buttoned with a straight leg pant.
Something about this Isabel Marant denim biker jacket really speaks to me. While I own many biker jackets, none of mine are denim. I am now obsessing over owning one. In terms of styling, I love mixing an edgier piece like this with something more feminine like a pleated mini skirt and boots or loafers.
Moving onto oversized pieces, I love this one from Nili Lotan. It is giving all of the Khaite vibes but at a fraction of the price. Not to mention, it’s on sale. Grab this now before it’s gone.
Speaking of Khaite, I am a sucker for a white/ecru denim jacket. This oversized piece is show-stopping and my styling recipe is nothing groundbreaking with a piece like this. Pair this with denim pants, break the look up with a belt, and you’re good to go.
While I typically stick to blue or white denim, every now and then I like to change it up. This beige denim jacket from Zara is a keeper. I am into the cuffed sleeve!
I’m all about that utilitarian vibe for transitional dressing and this Slvrlake army green jacket speaks for itself. I like how it is a bit longer and boxier, making it easy to transcend seasons. Style this with a striped shirt, jeans, and running sneakers.
Blazers + Denim are two of my wardrobe staples, so it is no surprise that I am obsessed with denim blazers. This oversized one from Ganni screams effortlessly cool. Wear it with denim as a canadian tuxedo for day, or with a tailored pant and slingback for night.
Saint Laurent who?? Everything about this Frame Denim Blazer is sheer perfection. The tailoring and silhouette are impeccable. Safe to say this will live in your wardrobe forever.
A cropped denim trench is the jacket I didn’t know that I needed. I immediately added this to my wishlist the second it dropped. The styling options are endless… wear it with a t-shirt, jeans, or throw it on over a dress.
If you are more of a long trench girl, this Nour Hammour piece is a must. I love this trench because you can wear it in the spring with a tank or in the fall over a knit. With boots, sneakers, or loafers, this piece will turn heads.
