The tailored, the leather, and the printed. These are 3 types of jackets that everyone needs for Spring.
The tailored
I am still here obsessing over adding in pops of red to my outfit. The tailoring on this Zara jacket is so good that while you can certainty wear it open, it looks amazing closed with a pant and heel. I own this jacket in 4 colors and can attest it is the best (full guide on how to style it coming soon).
For more of a splurge in the tailoring department, I’d turn to this fan favorite from Destree. Offered in numerous colors, I am particularly drawn to the white. It feels very clean and pairs nicely with a black trouser, skirt, or denim. I would style this more casually with loose fitting jeans, a belt, and slingback.
The leather
For a Spring leather jacket, I love incorporating a cream, beige, green, or red. These are some top contenders.
Starting off strong with this INSANE red Muuba leather jacket from YOOX. I can go on and on about how YOOX is so slept on for amazing pieces (at very discounted prices) and this Muuba jacket is clearly testament! The silhouette almost identically mirrors this Khaite piece. Pair this with jeans and a t-shirt for day or with a wide leg trouser for night. (PS- I may have ordered this and will show how I wear)
This sage green Lou Lou Studio jacket is a goodie. The scoop neck is a minimalist’s dream.
The Printed
In the winter, my coats don’t deviate much from a neutral palette. Pinstripe and plaid are about as risky as I get. I turn a new leaf once it’s spring and absolutely love incorporating fun prints into my collection. These are some of my favorites right now.
This black and white quilted piece from Isabel Marant gives that perfect bohemian touch. I like how the fun pattern is done in black and white so it is not too loud.
I clearly can’t get enough of Destree and this printed jacket made my heart skip a beat. If you’re feeling crazy go all out with the matching pants.
